Vasily Kazey

Dr. Vasily Kazey graduated from Biology Faculty of Moscow State University (Moscow, Russia) in 2002 and joined Institute of Neurology (Moscow, Russia) for the Ph.D. program. In 2003-2004 he was a visiting scientist in Justus Liebig University (Giessen, Germany). In 2004 he joined drug discovery CRO ChemDiv (San Diego, USA) as a scientist and in the same year he was offered to establish and manage Lead Discovery Department at Chemical Diversity Research Institute, a Moscow-based subsidiary of ChemDiv. He was responsible for integrated drug discovery projects run for Eli Lilly, MerckSerono, Abbott, Orion etc. Later on he continued his career at Chemical Diversity Research Institute as a Director of Translational Research and was responsible for drug discovery and clinical development of several molecules in CNS and antiviral therapeutic areas. In 2011 he co-founded Exacte Labs bioanalytical laboratory within Chemical Diversity Research Institute environment. Starting 2013 Exacte Labs is operating independently in TechoPark Slava (Moscow, Russia) and is managed by Vasily Kazey. Vasily is the author of more than 15 articles in Russian and foreign journals, the area of scientific interests are drug development, pharmacokinetics and metabolism.
